Northernmost lecture in Greenland

The Northernmost lecture on Biomimicry in Eastern Greenland has been held the 27th August 2009 onboard a polar vessel !
While leading a ship based expedition from Spitsbergen to Greenland, Tarik Chekchak, member of Biomimicry Europa, has presented a lecture on Biomimicry to the 52 passengers of the Professor Multanovskiy, an ex-research vessel from the Russian Hydrometeorologic Institute of Murmansk, Russia. The vessel is now mainly used for tourism expedition in the polar areas and the expedition explored the west coast of Spitsbergen before heading to the eastern coast of Greenland (Franz Kaiser Joseph Fjord, Scoresby Sund and Blosseville Coast) and ending up in Keflavik, Iceland. The total length of the trip was 2 046 nm / 3 789 km with no Carbon offset at this stage but may be offered to the passengers for the next season (ongoing negotiations).
